CDC study: Fruits, veggies lacking in adult diets

Metro Creative Graphics A CDC study states that only 1 in 10 adults eat the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables each day. Having a variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet has been taught and encouraged by health professionals for decades.

But according to a study from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, adults still aren’t getting enough.

In fact, only 1 in 10 adults actually meet the recommended intake of those food groups.

Antioxidants seem to be everywhere; in superfoods and skincare, even chocolate and red wine. Products that contain antioxidants are marketed as essential for good health, with promises to fight disease and reverse ageing.
